Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes:Review

So, a couple weeks ago, I decided I needed to try out a new undereye concealer. I have medium bags I'd say... I don't get very much sleep, but I have a visible blue vein under my left eye that drives me crazy! I decided to give Neutrogena's 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes a chance. In comes in a small squeeze tube. It doesn't come with a very large amount of product, and it's $10, so it isn't a very good value, if that is what you're looking for. It is 0.37oz. Now this concealer is also an eye cream and an SPF, which is great! The only problem is that it doesn't have great coverage. It definitely lessens the look of your circles, but not greatly. But I did notice that the eye cream works well! It makes your under-eyes very soft and supple! The concealer doesn't  cake and has quite a dewy finish. If you have light under-eye circles, I recommend this for you. I believe it comes in four shades, the lightest being Fair 05, which is my color. Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day 10/27/11

I wore this outfit last Wednesday!
I loved this outfit so much! It was very fall, and classic. That's what I've been leaning towards lately. Everything I wear is either black, brown, nude, or cream! The cardigan is Ralph Lauren. See the suede shoulder patch detailing on the right shoulder? So cute! It was long enough to wear as a dress, so i buttoned it all the way up and paired it with a pair of black Vera Wang tights! Lately, I've loved these black tights! I wear them almost every other day. My oxford flats are by Steve Madden. The crimson infinity scarf is from Target. Scarves have also been a big thing for me this fall. And of course my Aldo bag! Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day 10/24/11

I wore this on Monday, but didn't get a chance to post it!
My jeans are just your basic slim boot from American Eagle in a medium wash. The light pink blouse is from Forever 21, and I put a short sleeve gray sweater over top to add some more style and warmth(It's been so cold!) I rolled the sleeves of the blouse up so they wouldn't be disproportionate to the sweater. I took a statement necklace from American Eagle and put it under the collar of the blouse. I really like that look, and think it's very chic, but still young enough looking. I wore plain black Steve Madden flats. I've been wearing those shoes pretty much every day lately! I wore my hair in a top knot with bobby pins to keep it from looking messy, which is a go-to style for me.
Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day 10/17/11

Today, I went with a theme of mixing patterns in my outfit. Sometimes, mixing different patterns doesn't work, but I felt like this did.
I'm paired some high-waisted American Eagle shorts over my black tights, and I also wore my plain black Steve Madden flats. My shirt is from TJ Maxx, and it actually is a tank top with a gold zipper all the way down the back. The shirt is very unique, because it has a knot in the front, but I tucked it into my shorts, because I don't particularly like the way it looks. My black blazer is from H&M. The lining is cheetah print, so I decided to roll up the sleeves a bit, so that it was visible. The blazer also has slight shoulder pads. My necklace is from Express. I bought this necklace for homecoming, and soon I'll be doing a post showing my homecoming outfit and makeup! With this outfit, I wore my hair in a straight, sleek low ponytail. Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day 10/4/11

This is an outfit I wore last week.
My shirt is from Delia's and it says "I <3 Mr. Fitz" (from Pretty Little Liars). Underneath is a black lace cami from the Gap. My shorts are from American Eagle, and my tights are gray and are from Charlotte Russe. For this outfit, I would've preferred black tights, but I couldn't find any, so I settled for gray! I wore my Vince Camuto boots:
I carried my Christian Audigier bag, which I thought completely made the outfit!:
I wore red lips, which matched the heart on the shirt perfectly! :)
Have a charming day!

Review: MAC eyeshadow: Patina

Sorry for the lack of blogs! Today, I'm doing a review on a new MAC eyeshadow that I bought yesterday. I wore it today and I LOVED it! Patina is a frost finish. I had the MAC girl try it on me, and she put it from my lid all the way past my crease, and it looked so pretty, so that's how I wore it today! It was so simple, and looked so nice and put together. Because it has a subtle shimmer to it, the lid picks up more light that the crease and brow bone, so it looks like your wearing multiple colors. I feel like this color would flatter anybody! It would be such a beautiful wash of color on darker skin tones. Finally, here are the swatches(they don't do it justice)
Here are some comparisons:
From left to right: Patina by MAC, Satin Taupe by MAC, the darkest shade in Covergirl's Shimmering Sands trio
Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day

Today, I wore an outfit that reminded me of summer! It's has a very beachy feel. Sorry for the wrinkled shirt, it sat in my gym locker. :P
My blouse is from Charlotte Russe, and I have just a navy blue Abercrombie tank underneath.
My high-waisted shorts are from American Eagle, and my shoes are Unisa, but I believe my cousin(shoutout to Jillee!) got them at TJ Maxx. The belt is old, and I don't know where it's from. I'm wearing "Give me the 1st Dance" by OPI on my nails. Have a charming day!

Nail of the Week

I just finished painting my nails "Give me the 1st Dance" by Nicole by OPI! This is from Justin Bieber's line. I love how fast this nail polish dries!! It's got a very shimmery, almost glittery appearence, yet there is no glitter, so you won't have trouble removing it.
Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day and an Explanation

I'm so sorry I've been absent from my blog for a whole week!! I was so busy in school, and the just as I thought I would get back on track, I came down with a cold :P. So, I'm back! And I have an outfit on the day!
My dress in from Delia's and is by Ali and Kris. It had a feather attached to it but it fell of because my school books got caught on it :(. It has big pockets that I loveee! I dressed it down and warmed it up by putting a gray-purple tee-shirt from GapBody underneath. I'm wearing a belt that I stole from my little sister and its perfect for defining your waistline if a dress or shirt doesn't have much shape.
Here is a closer photo of the pattern, belt, and the pockets.
I paired these bracelets with my outfit. The bangles are from Kohl's and the other bracelet is from Charlotte Russe. I love the jingly noise they make :)

Nail of the Week

This week I'm wearing Essie's Jelly Apple! This is the perfect RED with a sheen. It reminds me of a cherry! This is by far by favorite red nail polish.
Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Night?

Last night, I went on a little trip to Barnes and Noble and Panera Bread, and this is what I wore! :
My black flats are Steve Madden, my high-waisted shorts are American Eagle. This sweater is also from American Eagle and is very chunky, warm, and cute. Its just a bIt itchy! My scarf is Jones of New York but I got it at TJ Maxx. And, of course, my bag is from Aldo, but I switched it up a little by using the long handle instead of the 2 small ones. Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day

What I wore today:
Capris from American Eagle, artist fit (I cut these off myself. They were originally full-length jeans). Shirt from American Eagle. Cinched in at waist with a belt (don't know where it came from).
These amazing shoes are from Charlotte Russe! I love them! My science teacher described them as "funky." Hahaha. They have a tiny pointed heel and zips in the back. Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day (again!)

This is what I wore to school today!
I'm wearing Steve Madden oxford flats which are incredibly uncomfortable but OK if you wear band-aids on your heels! My dress is from Forever 21 and has cool crisscross detailing on the back. The blazer is from Target and has a sweatshirt material and it's so comfortable and cute! I've had it for about a year, and still wear it all the time! My belt is from H&M, and I wear it so much! Its the only waist belt I have, and I've been looking for more, but don't know where to find them? Do you have any waist belts? Where did you get them? Once again, I'm carrying my Aldo bag, and it matches my shoes PERFECT! That's all, have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day

Here's another outfit of the day!
Today, I wore this American Eagle crop top over a black lace cami from The Gap, with medium wash slim boot jeans from American Eagle. For shoes, I wore these Aerie sandals that are definitely my go-to shoes. For accessories, I wore this American Eagle necklace, which I LOVE! It sits like a choker on your neck. I wore my everyday bracelets and stacking rings. Sorry I don't have a full outfit picture, today was a long day ( I've been out of the house at school and appointments for 10 hours! :P) so I jumped in the showers without photographing it! Oops! Have a charming day!

Outfit of the Day

Today was my second day of school and this is the outfit that I put together!
Starting from the bottom I have on Material Girl sandals on. You can't see but there is a chain going up the front and a little bow at the top! It's the perfect way to combine girly(the bow) and edgy(the chain). I'm wearing American Eagle shorts that were in a previous haul. I'm also wearing a plain brown leather belt but you can't see it because the shirt is fairly long. The shirt is from J.crew and I absolutely LOVE the tailoring on this! The detail in the tailoring is not visible in the photo but there are panel-like strips of fabric on the sleeves making there way halfway down the side of the shirt and it cinches in at the waist. The necklace is also from J.crew. I have a couple of bracelets on my right hand, and my hair is (or was) is a curled side pony! I love doing a curled side pony because it's so easy and it looks like you spent a lot of time on it. I use a Hot Tools clampless half inch iron to do this. I'll be back with another outfit of the day on Tuesday when Labor Day weekend is over and I have another school day. Have a charming day!

First Day Outfit!

So, today I had my first day of school, and it went very smooth! I was pretty nervous, but it turned out fine. This is what I wore:
I'll probably be posting quite a few outfit of the days, as I spend a lot of time on my outfits the first few weeks of school. Starting at the bottom, I'm wearing simple black Steve Madden flats, I did a TON of running around, up and down stairs all day, and only got tiny blisters, which is great for me seeing that I have scars on my heels from shoe blisters! Then, my skirt is from H&M. It was on a previous haul if you wanna check that out! I'm wearing black ribbed lace tank from Gap,and  a nude pink colored tank top with ruffles on the front from J.crew. I'm wearing a light, simple black sweater from J.crew. I have on a silver necklace that says "love" in cursive, and I carried my Aldo bag! I had my hair down, but I put it up so the outfit would be more visible. See you tomorrow with another OOTD! Have a charming day!

Nail of the Week

This week, I'm wearing Essie's "Innocent." This is my go-to color when I don't know what to wear. It's a beautiful dark nude pink, but sometimes it comes off more pink than others. Here is a picture:
Sometimes it looks pinker than this! It looks really great on all skin tones and goes with pretty much everything. I'll be wearing this for the first day of school! Have a charming day!

Guest Blog Mac Haul

Sorry for the overload of MAC hauls but my sister is here to do a guest blog and she chose to do a MAC haul! So here you go! :

Hi I'm Ally, and I'm very excited to do a guest blog on Pretty Charming! And here is my MAC haul!

This is the first MAC eyeshadow I ever got, and I got it at CCO. Dreammaker is a very pretty gold, and it is very shimmery. I wear this every day all over my lid. I love this eyeshadow. It has a very soft texture.

This is my other MAC eyeshadow. I got it at CCO. Perky is a medium pink, (Such a cute name!) with a satin finish. I use this in the outer corner of my eye everyday, over Dreammaker. Since I like brighter colors, I would like this to be a little more pigmented. I have to use my finger to apply it because not enough color comes out on my brush. But other than that I like this color.

This is my paint pot, in "Bare Study." I got this at an actual MAC store. I love this paint pot! It comes out a shimmery white-gold, and Dreammaker looks great over it. This paint pot would look great by itself, which is good in case you don't have enough time to apply eyeshadow!

This is my Dazzleglass Creme. It is called "Lightly Prancing." I got this at CCO. This Dazzleglass is amazing! It is a sparkly nude, with a tiny bit of pink. I wear it everyday, and I love it! It looks great with Dreammaker. The brush is awesome too! At first, I wasn't crazy about the brush applicator, but when I started using it I changed my mind.

This is my MAC blush, in "Well Dressed."This is a light pink. I got this at a MAC store. I would like this to be a little bit brighter. I think maybe part of it is my blush brush it very soft, and some MAC products tend to be not that soft. But as long as you apply enough, it comes out a pretty light pink. It is a satin finish.

I just thought this was so cute, so I had to post a picture, even though this is a MAC haul. This little glass decorative pitcher holds my blush brush, eyeshadow brush, and eyebrow brush. I got the blush brush and eyeshadow brush at TJ Maxx. They are made by Essential Beauty. The eyebrow brush is an Ecotools product. Love these brushes!

Well that's it, thanks for reading my guest blog! Have a charming day! :)  (As emily would say!)

Collective MAC Haul

Okay, so today I'm posting a collective MAC haul that I've bought over the past week along with mini reviews. First, I'll show what I bought at the CCO.

First of all, I bought "Give Me Liberty of London" eyeshadow from the Give Me Liberty of London collection. I swatched this at the CCO and it came off a beautiful, light pink color, but when I got it home, I couldn't see anything! It was literally sheer, and I was so disappointed. I wrote to MAC and they never replied, so I wrote them 2 nights ago, and they still haven't replied! What's up with that!? I think this eyeshadow's a reject...
The next product is another eyeshadow, and that's "Sweetjoy" from the Venomous Villains collection. This is a light, yellowy gold color that I love to put all over my lid. It only has a tiny bit of shimmer, and it's great for a very subtle highlight! Plus, I love the packaging, it has Cruella De Vil on the top, and I love Disney characters :)
Now onto what I bought at the actual MAC store! I asked the MAC girl if she could recommend a matte rosey blush for me and "Desert Rose" is what she recommended! She tried it on me, and I absolutely loved it! It's so pretty, and very pigmented, so a little goes a long way with this blush! By the way, this is my first MAC blush!
The next thing is "Angel" lipstick. I'd been wanting a light pink nude lipstick for a while and thought this  would be perfect because it's what Kim K loves and her nude pink lip always looks amazing! My complexion isn't as dark as hers at all, and my lips are very pigmented, so it didn't turn out the way I expected it to, but I still love the way it looks! I've worn it with my Stila lip glaze in "Guava." It says it's a frost, but I don't find it frosty at all. Also, it's slightly drying so I always exfoliate my lips with a sugar scrub before I apply it, and put on chapstick.
The last thing I bought was "Satin Taupe" eyeshadow! I was so excited to get this because it's supposedly really good! And I love it! I wore it yesterday and today in my crease, and a bit under my eye. Today I wore it with Sweetjoy on the lid, and Quarry in the outer corner. Once again, though, I can't really pick up on the shimmer once it's on my eye, but that's good, because I'm not a huge shimmer girl! That's everything! Have a charming day!

First Day of School Outfit?

I'm not totally sure yet, but I think this will my first day of school outfit :
I really love this new shirt from J.crew, and I'm 95% sure I'm wearing it on the first day!
Along with these American Eagle shorts that I love! They fit so well, and they'll make any outfit look put-together!
With this J.crew necklace!
And this Aldo bag!

The only problem is I don't know what shoes to wear, and I only have 4 days to decide!! :O
What are you wearing, or what did you wear? Have a charming day!
