I'll probably be posting quite a few outfit of the days, as I spend a lot of time on my outfits the first few weeks of school. Starting at the bottom, I'm wearing simple black Steve Madden flats, I did a TON of running around, up and down stairs all day, and only got tiny blisters, which is great for me seeing that I have scars on my heels from shoe blisters! Then, my skirt is from H&M. It was on a previous haul if you wanna check that out! I'm wearing black ribbed lace tank from Gap,and a nude pink colored tank top with ruffles on the front from J.crew. I'm wearing a light, simple black sweater from J.crew. I have on a silver necklace that says "love" in cursive, and I carried my Aldo bag! I had my hair down, but I put it up so the outfit would be more visible. See you tomorrow with another OOTD! Have a charming day!

Nail of the Week
This week, I'm wearing Essie's "Innocent." This is my go-to color when I don't know what to wear. It's a beautiful dark nude pink, but sometimes it comes off more pink than others. Here is a picture:
Sometimes it looks pinker than this! It looks really great on all skin tones and goes with pretty much everything. I'll be wearing this for the first day of school! Have a charming day!

Guest Blog Mac Haul
Sorry for the overload of MAC hauls but my sister is here to do a guest blog and she chose to do a MAC haul! So here you go! :
Hi I'm Ally, and I'm very excited to do a guest blog on Pretty Charming! And here is my MAC haul!
This is the first MAC eyeshadow I ever got, and I got it at CCO. Dreammaker is a very pretty gold, and it is very shimmery. I wear this every day all over my lid. I love this eyeshadow. It has a very soft texture.
This is my other MAC eyeshadow. I got it at CCO. Perky is a medium pink, (Such a cute name!) with a satin finish. I use this in the outer corner of my eye everyday, over Dreammaker. Since I like brighter colors, I would like this to be a little more pigmented. I have to use my finger to apply it because not enough color comes out on my brush. But other than that I like this color.
This is my paint pot, in "Bare Study." I got this at an actual MAC store. I love this paint pot! It comes out a shimmery white-gold, and Dreammaker looks great over it. This paint pot would look great by itself, which is good in case you don't have enough time to apply eyeshadow!
This is my Dazzleglass Creme. It is called "Lightly Prancing." I got this at CCO. This Dazzleglass is amazing! It is a sparkly nude, with a tiny bit of pink. I wear it everyday, and I love it! It looks great with Dreammaker. The brush is awesome too! At first, I wasn't crazy about the brush applicator, but when I started using it I changed my mind.
This is my MAC blush, in "Well Dressed."This is a light pink. I got this at a MAC store. I would like this to be a little bit brighter. I think maybe part of it is my blush brush it very soft, and some MAC products tend to be not that soft. But as long as you apply enough, it comes out a pretty light pink. It is a satin finish.
I just thought this was so cute, so I had to post a picture, even though this is a MAC haul. This little glass decorative pitcher holds my blush brush, eyeshadow brush, and eyebrow brush. I got the blush brush and eyeshadow brush at TJ Maxx. They are made by Essential Beauty. The eyebrow brush is an Ecotools product. Love these brushes!
Well that's it, thanks for reading my guest blog! Have a charming day! :) (As emily would say!)

Collective MAC Haul
Okay, so today I'm posting a collective MAC haul that I've bought over the past week along with mini reviews. First, I'll show what I bought at the CCO.
First of all, I bought "Give Me Liberty of London" eyeshadow from the Give Me Liberty of London collection. I swatched this at the CCO and it came off a beautiful, light pink color, but when I got it home, I couldn't see anything! It was literally sheer, and I was so disappointed. I wrote to MAC and they never replied, so I wrote them 2 nights ago, and they still haven't replied! What's up with that!? I think this eyeshadow's a reject...
The next product is another eyeshadow, and that's "Sweetjoy" from the Venomous Villains collection. This is a light, yellowy gold color that I love to put all over my lid. It only has a tiny bit of shimmer, and it's great for a very subtle highlight! Plus, I love the packaging, it has Cruella De Vil on the top, and I love Disney characters :)
Now onto what I bought at the actual MAC store! I asked the MAC girl if she could recommend a matte rosey blush for me and "Desert Rose" is what she recommended! She tried it on me, and I absolutely loved it! It's so pretty, and very pigmented, so a little goes a long way with this blush! By the way, this is my first MAC blush!
The next thing is "Angel" lipstick. I'd been wanting a light pink nude lipstick for a while and thought this would be perfect because it's what Kim K loves and her nude pink lip always looks amazing! My complexion isn't as dark as hers at all, and my lips are very pigmented, so it didn't turn out the way I expected it to, but I still love the way it looks! I've worn it with my Stila lip glaze in "Guava." It says it's a frost, but I don't find it frosty at all. Also, it's slightly drying so I always exfoliate my lips with a sugar scrub before I apply it, and put on chapstick.
The last thing I bought was "Satin Taupe" eyeshadow! I was so excited to get this because it's supposedly really good! And I love it! I wore it yesterday and today in my crease, and a bit under my eye. Today I wore it with Sweetjoy on the lid, and Quarry in the outer corner. Once again, though, I can't really pick up on the shimmer once it's on my eye, but that's good, because I'm not a huge shimmer girl! That's everything! Have a charming day!

First Day of School Outfit?
I'm not totally sure yet, but I think this will my first day of school outfit :
I really love this new shirt from J.crew, and I'm 95% sure I'm wearing it on the first day!
Along with these American Eagle shorts that I love! They fit so well, and they'll make any outfit look put-together!
With this J.crew necklace!
And this Aldo bag!
The only problem is I don't know what shoes to wear, and I only have 4 days to decide!! :O
What are you wearing, or what did you wear? Have a charming day!

Beauty and Other Favorites of Summer
Now that summer is coming to an end, I figured I'd reminisce about the products I've been using and loving over the past three months. Also, at the end of this post, I'll tell you about some other things (and people) I've been loving this summer! Alright, first, I have my MAC paint pot in Painterly:
I honestly can't rave enough about this product, so I'll just tell you this. I think it's my favorite makeup product ever. I use it every day all over my lid, up to my brow bone, and in my inner corner. It will get rid of veins or purpleness on you eyelid and create a perfect base for your eyeshadows! I think Soft Ochre does the same, so I guess it's just preference. I believe Painterly has more pinky undertones, while Soft Ochre has more yellowy undertones.
This next thing is Stila's E! Live from the Red Carpet palette no. 1 " Breathtaking Beauty". Whoa, that's a mouth full. Okay, so I pretty much wear these eyeshadows 75% of the time. They're so great! And this palette was only $25, which is great for a high-end makeup brand like Stila! The two shadows on the left are great lid colors, but I use the top one more, and the two middle crease colors are amazing too. The two shadows on the right are actually powder liners which I love! I pat them on my lash line with an angled liner brush. The top powder liner is such a cool color. It's black with yellow and blue shimmers! And this palette includes a Kitten all over shimmer powder, which is beautiful in the inner corner. I don't use the convertible color very often. It's too sticky for cheeks and the color isn't flattering on my lips.
These are my Bodycology products in the scent cucumber melon. They smell SO good! The left is a body spray, which I bought first, then, because I loved the smell so much, I bought the mini body lotion, and I use it as a hand cream. They are so crisp and fresh smelling without being too overpowering! I actually also use the body spray as a room freshener too! I got these at Target.
I got this Covergirl Natureluxe tinted lip balm for free at a Taylor Swift concert I went to in June! Covergirl was the sponser and they were giving these to people that came early! I love this so much! At first, I thought it was a pretty scary color because it looks so dark, but it's really gorgeous! And it's moisturizing, and has SPF 15! Great for summer! This is in the color Spice.
This Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Teal is a must-have for me at all times! I don't use it as eyeliner though! Every day I draw a small heart on my left hand with this! It's the only eyeliner that I can find that will stay, even through showers!! I couldn't be without this!
These two nail polishes have been my favorites this summer. They're such great colors! The left is Essie's Clambake, an orangey red color. The right is China Glaze's For Audrey. Now, I'm sure you've heard of For Audrey, the color on the market closest to Tiffany's trademark blue, and let me tell you, it is VERY close! I love it!
Okay, now on to my others. This is an adorable pen I got at Charlotte Russe that is shaped like a lipstick!
You take off the lipstick part and there's a pen! So cute!
My next favorite is the TV show, The Nine Lives of Chloe King! Omigosh, I love this show!! It's so good, it's right up there with Pretty Little Liars! I'm team Alek, how about you? :)
Another favorite of mine this summer is Cody Simpson! According to my Itunes, I've listened to his song "All Day" 229 times! Whoa! I was lucky enough to see him on his mall tour this summer, and he was amazing! Last but not least, I've been loving wearing top knots as a quick and easy hair do this summer, I just throw some bobby pins in and I'm ready to go!That's it, thanks for reading my blog, and have a charming day!

Nail of the Week
This week I'm wearing a matte shade by Nicole by OPI called "No Limits" with one coat of Essie's " Kisses and Bises" over top! No limits is actually a navy blue, but when you put Kisses and Bises over it, it turns purple, and has pink reflects!! Here is a photo:
I really like it! Excuse my lack of rings... that's abnormal for me, hahaha.
Have a charming day!!

Lashblast Length Review
So, about a week ago, I bought my first Lashblast mascara. I know, crazy, right? I'm just not a huge mascara girl. I bought the length one because I'm not big on the volumized look. I just wanted something to darken my lashes and make them appear longer. I love this mascara! I've tried it out three days and it's great. I would'nt recommend it if you have short, sparse lashes though! I bought it in black brown so that it would look more natural, and that it does! I feel like it isn't obvious that I'm wearing mascara at all!
It doesn't smudge( Its the water resistant version), but I don't know about it being water proof. It removes very easily though, which is a huge plus for me! It's a fairly dry formula, so make sure to apply it quickly!

This is what the bristles look like.
Before. I have no makeup on in this photo.
I have only Lashblast length on in this photo on my upper lashes. I know, I know, I have massive pupils. You can see the camera in them!
It is a very subtle mascara, but it's exactly what I was looking for! Have a charming day!

Project Runway
Hey everyone! I just finished watching tonight's episode of Project Runway, and i must say, I'm not impressed! I feel like I haven't seen any designs that I like yet, and I don't have a favorite yet. Last year, I LOVED Mondo's designs!! I don't think I like the group of designers chosen for this season. What do you think? Do you watch Project Runway? Who's your favorite?

Beautiful Sentences
Hi everyone! I'm starting a new blog series called "Beautiful Sentences." It's when I post a quote from a person, a book, etc. that stands out to me during the day! Sorry if there's a day that I'm too busy to post something. Here's today's sentence/s :
"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest. I believe that tomorrow is another day,and... I believe in miracles."
-Audrey Hepburn
I just thought that was cute and wanted to share it with you all!! Have a charming day!

My Favorite Makeup Brushes
Brushes can make a huge difference in the way your makeup applies, so investing in some good brushes is always a great idea if you're into makeup. I don't spend a ton of money on brushes, I don't own any MAC brushes because I think $26 for a small brush is crazy. I own all Ecotools brushes except for my first 4 brushes that I ever got in a set from "Flirt!", a cosmetics brand sold at Kohls. Now, there are some brushes that I just couldn't live without:
-One is Ecotools blush brush. This is an incredibly soft brush that applies blush and powder beautifully! I own two, one for powder, and one for blush.
(Plus, the ecotools brushes are cruelty free, and their handles are made of bamboo!! And 1% of the sales goes to the planet! I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but every little bit makes a difference)
-The next brush is also from ecotools and it's the highlight brush. I use this for my crease and it works SO good!! I absolutely love it. It's basically a tapered brush.
-The ecotools smudge brush is great for highlighting your inner corner! It fits perfectly.

-This is the Flirt! eyeshadow brush that I use EVERY single day that I wear makeup to apply shadow on my lid. It's soft, and picks up the color nicely. I usually pat the color on.
-The next brush is the ecotools angled eyeliner brush. I use this to apply shadow as liner on my lower lash line. I pat it on in separate lines across the lashes.
If I could pick five brushes, and only five brushes to use for the rest of my life, these would be them.
This is how I store my brushes! They are in a box that some flowers came in. When the flowers died, I took the box, filled it with blue glass pebbles, and stuck my brushes in! These are all the brushes I own.
If there are any blog posts you would like to see from me, feel free to leave a comment below, and if I have the means, I'll do it! Have a charming day!

Maybelline Shine Sensational Lipstick Review
At the beginning of the summer, I tried Maybelline's Shine Sensational lipstick and I absolutely loved it! I bought it in the color " Peachy Scene" for the perfect coral/peach lip. Its not a orangey color, but leans more towards the pink side of coral. These lipsticks are very shiny and don't necessarily need a lip gloss over them! The next color I bought was "Fuchsia Fever", which is a fabulously daring bright pink. This doesn't have as much shine as Peachy Scene, and I would definitely wear a lip gloss over it. I only dab this on my lip to add color, I don't swipe it. Lastly in my collection of Shine Sensational lipsticks, I have "Pink Sand." This is a very shiny, sheer light pink. I have fairly pigmented lips on their own, so this doesn't add any color, but it does give a lovely sheen! If you don't have very pigmented lips, I would highly recommend this color for you. It would look great. Overall, these are lipsticks of good quality, without a drying effect. And for $5.29 you can't go wrong! I cant wait to try out more colors! Here are some swatches:
From left to right: Peachy Scene, Fuchsia Fever, Pink Sand
Thanks for reading my blog! Have a charming day!

Fashion Phases
I feel like everyone goes through phases in their lives when there is a style, or color that they're stuck on, or even a trend that they might overdo. I remember when I was in fifth grade, I thought it was "cool" to wear blue and white checked capris from the Rugged Bear with watermelons on them. Yes, embroidered watermelons... I have no idea what made me dress like that, but at least I was brave enough to wear what I liked. I also had a pair of capris that were pastel green with pastel pink polka dots. Think Easter outfits for 6-year-olds. Ugh. And I had hair down to my butt and purple glasses. No, my Mom didn't make me dress like that. It was my conscious decision. She even advised against it! In sixth grade, all I wanted was to be able to wear all the mall store brands (Aeropostale, American Eagle, Abercrombie...) that everyone else wore. I remember whenever I came into school wearing a shirt with on of those names on it my friends would be like " I didn't know you shopped there." Hahaha. 7th grade I started to find my own style, and became obsessed with fashion, I was really into designer labels and was quite the name-dropper, I must say. But that phase faded, and then 8th grade came. One day I'd wear a tee and jeans, and the next I'd wear a formal blazer with a military green skirt and black and purple splattered Betsey Johnson tights. Oh yeah, and don't forget the boots( I still love these to death. They're over there>) And that year, I pretty much shunned shirts with brand names printed on the front. I can't remember the last time I wore a shirt with "AEO" on it. When I stayed at a cottage a few weeks ago, they had a selection of movies on VHS and we watched Ferris Bueller, and then another night, we watched Sabrina with Audrey Hepburn. I was kind of inspired by her minimalist style. Lots of black solid clothes. I feel I might lean more in that direction this year, but who knows? Stick with me to find out!!
